Debate the argument, not the person

• Challenge claims with reasons and sources.
• No harassment, threats, slurs, humiliation or targeted abuse.
• Do not organize pile-ons or repeatedly follow a user to provoke them.

Be honest about identity and evidence

• No impersonation, deceptive edited media, fabricated quotations or knowingly false claims.
• Disclose relevant affiliations when promoting an organization, candidate or campaign.
• Cite credible sources for factual claims, especially during breaking events.

Protect privacy and safety

• Do not publish private addresses, phone numbers, identity documents or non-public personal information.
• Do not encourage violence, self-harm, illegal activity or harassment.
• Report credible threats through the forum tools and, when urgent, to the appropriate authorities.

Keep discussions useful

• Post in the most relevant forum and use descriptive titles.
• Avoid duplicate threads, repetitive promotion, spam and off-topic disruption.
• Automated threads for Beirut Politics news, reels and programs remain subject to the same rules.

Political flairs and verification

A flair expresses a user’s chosen identity or interest; it does not prove party membership or endorsement. A verified badge confirms an identity or official role reviewed by Beirut Politics, not agreement with that person’s views.

Moderation and enforcement

Moderators may remove content, lock or pin threads, issue timeouts, restrict features or suspend accounts. We consider context, severity, history and risk. Attempts to evade enforcement may lead to stronger action. Reports are logged for accountability.

Appeals

If you believe a moderation decision was mistaken, email info@beirut-politics.com with your username, the discussion link and a concise explanation. Abusive or repetitive appeals may not receive a response.
